Coastal Day Retreat in Trevone – The Magical Practice of Taking and Giving

Cost: £30 including light lunch and walk (weather permitting)
As this is a special away event it is not included within the membership but will attract a reduced fee of £22.50 for Gold members and £27 for Silver members
One of the most powerful meditation techniques to increase our love and compassion is the practice of taking and giving.
In this practice we use the power of our imagination to experience a pure world where everyone is free from suffering, where everyone is experiencing deep everlasting happiness, and we ourselves feel deeply connected to everyone having given up all selfish thoughts and desires.

A wonderful opportunity to join Buddhist nun Kelsang Yonchen on a special away day retreat in the coastal village of Trevone, near Padstow. The day will include four guided retreat sessions, each including teachings, a short prayer and guided meditation
After a light vegetarian lunch*, there will be an opportunity to join a group walk to the beautiful Trevone Bay if you wish, weather permitting. Please bring suitable footwear as some routes can be muddy.

About the Teacher
Kelsang Yonchen is a Buddhist nun and resident teacher of Ganden Ling KBC. She is an experienced meditator and teacher known for her kindness and clear, accessible teachings.
Getting There
Trevone WI Hall is just off the B3276 between Padstow and Newquay.
Turn towards Trevone Bay at the signpost to the village, and the hall is approx 100m down the road on the left hand side. (White fronted building set back from the road).
Car
There is reasonable parking at the back of the WI hall and if that is full then any extra cars can be parked considerately on the next two roads to the left.
Bus
The number 56 bus runs between Padstow and Newquay, stopping at Trevone Turn.
From there follow directions above.

We will have people coming from different parts of Cornwall, so do ask if you need transport and we will see if we can help you arrange something
