Often when we think about being kind to ourselves, we default to ideas of  pampering or indulging ourselves. Whilst this can help us relax and recharge for a short while we soon find ourselves back at square one and can cause many other problems. In fact, Buddha taught that thinking only about ourself whilst neglecting others is the very cause of many of our problems!

On this course we will therefore look at how we can be kind to ourselves by engaging in virtuous self-care as seen through the lenses of Buddha’s teachings. In this way we can create non-deceptive causes of our own long-term happiness, build a resilient mind able to handle adversities with ease and lead a deeply meaningful life.

This is being truly kind to ourself!

This half day course will be in two sessions with a break. Each session will consist of practical teachings and guided meditations. We sit on chairs, and no exercise is involved.

Timetable

Session 1: 10.30 – 11.30 am

Session 2: 12 noon – 1 pm

Refreshments will be available to purchase from the on-site café during the break.
