Course Detail

Need some tools to become peaceful? Want to take the peace you already experience to a much deeper level? Interested in taking a profound journey towards Enlightenment?

Whatever your level, you can enjoy and benefit from our weekend meditation retreat guided by experienced teacher, meditator, and Buddhist nun, Kelsang Yonchen.

In our busy modern world it takes a conscious decision to calm the mind, limit our distracting thoughts, and find peace.
Through engaging in the Mahamudra meditation practices it is possible to experience the deeper nature of the mind directly. As the waves of thoughts and feelings die down a natural stillness and clarity of mind can arise that brings great peace and real joy.

Through being guided in deeply relaxing, spacious, and deceptively simple stages of meditation your mind will become progressively more subtle, concentrated and peaceful. In this way you can experience a profound inner serenity and tranquility that you can carry back with you into your daily life, bringing inspiration to your spiritual path.

If you realize your own mind you will become a Buddha; you should not seek Buddhahood elsewhere – Mahamudra Tantra

The retreat will focus on the first stage of Mahamudra meditation from the Ganden Oral Lineage and training in concentration.

Each session will include of short teachings & guided meditation, with plenty of opportunity for quiet reflection and study throughout the day.
You can attend as many or as few sessions as you wish, though you will gain greatest results from attending the whole retreat.

Details:

The centre has a small seating area for relaxing, contemplating, reading and meaningful discussion during breaks, and will also have a designated quiet area for those who wish to remain in silence.  There is a small library that students can make use of during the retreat.
