We can get so caught up in mundane trivialities that its easy to find days, weeks, months, years slipping by without getting down to the things that will really make a difference to our life.
Through training in the various meditations that Buddha taught, we can create all the causes for real, everlasting happiness… but somehow it can feel like there are always other things getting in the way.
” I’ll do that once I retire / get a holiday / get through this difficulty <insert your situation here>”
Of course, once one thing is out of the way, other things always appear to replace them, and before we know it, our life is coming to an end and we never did get round to engaging in what is truly meaningful for us.
In this half day course with experience teacher and Kadampa practitioner, Richard Green, we will look at Buddhist ways of thinking and meditations to help us cut through this habit of procrastination and learn how to bring meaning into every day, and to enjoy the fulfillment that comes from this.
The course will be in two sessions with a break. Each session will consist of practical teachings and guided meditations. We sit on chairs, and no exercise is involved.
Session 1: 10.30 – 11.30 am
Session 2: 12 noon – 1 pm
Refreshments will be available to purchase from the on-site café during the break.
Richard Green has been a Kadampa Practitioner for over 20 years. He teaches regularly in the Falmouth area and is known for his sincerity and gentle approach
