All prayers are free to attend. Everybody welcome.
The prayers are performed in conjunction with pre-recorded chanting, singing and music.
We have prayer booklets that you can borrow so that you can join in, or if you wish you can sit quietly simply contemplate the words or simply enjoy the beautiful sounds.
We engage in Wishfulfilling Jewel Prayers on a regular basis at Ganden Ling KMC. This a Guru Yoga of Je Tsongkapa and prayers to the dharma protector, Dorje Shugden. It is our heart practice as Kadampa Buddhists.
It includes quiet time for personal meditation
Regular Times:
Mondays, 3.15 – 4.30pm
Wednesdays 3.15 – 4.30pm
Thursdays 3.15 – 4.30pm (except last Thursday of the month)
Once a month, usually on the last Thursday at 5pm, we perform Wishfulfilling Jewel with Tsog.
This is a special food offering made to the Buddhas and other holy beings.
This practice is a more extensive Guru Yoga of Je Tsongkapa. It is performed twice a month on or around the 10th and 25th days.
It includes special food and drink offerings.
Prayers for World Peace are a beautiful presentation with a modern song format to traditional prayers requesting freedom from suffering and problems, and the attainment of all good qualities, both for ourselves and others.
We perform these prayers from time to time, usually on a Sunday. The session is combined with a talk from a qualified teacher, and guided meditation.
If you know someone who is sick, suffering or who has recently died and you would like us to add them to our prayer dedications, then please contact us and we will be happy to do so
Please contact us on info@meditateincornwall.org if you want details on upcoming prayers.
