Empowerments

The Empowerment of Buddha

with Kadampa Buddhist Monk & Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Dragden

Date:  Saturday 21st March 2026, 10:30am-4:30pm

Venue: Ganden Ling KMC, 9 St Marys Street, Truro TR1 2AF

This special event is a wonderful opportunity to receive the special blessings of a fully enlightened being.

The enlightened mind is said to be like a boundless deep ocean, every drop of which has the power to bring inner peace to living beings. Receiving an empowerment is like connecting with this ocean-like potential inside our own mind, giving us the courage and wisdom to begin to realize our own Buddha nature.

Buddha Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, appeared in this world in 624BC, and gave teachings to help free the mental pain of living beings. This empowerment will open the door to the profound methods of inner transformation that Buddha taught and will allow us to receive his inspiring blessings.

This is a rare opportunity to receive a very powerful empowerment.

If you have any questions about the empowerment please contact us HERE or speak to one of our volunteers at the centre who will be pleased to help you.

We shall be using the prayers Essence of Good Fortune (prayer booklets will be available for use at the centre). If you wish to purchase your own copy you may do so from Ganden Ling KMC or this, and other related items, are available from Tharpa Publications HERE.

What is an Empowerment?

An Empowerment is an event in which we receive, or have bestowed upon us, special blessings (the transformation of our mind from an unhappy state to a happy state), that heal our mental continuum and awaken our pure nature – our potential we all have to become an enlightened being.

An Empowerment is the gateway through which we enter the Tantric teachings of Buddha; the means of training our mind by bringing the future result, or Buddhahood, into the present. It is the supreme path to full enlightenment.
