Dealing with Difficulties

When difficulties arise we sometimes just muddle through whilst at other times we may simply not know which way to turn. The negative experiences and feelings which come up can drain us of our energy and ability to cope; but there is a solution. We may not be able to avoid difficult people, situations or feelings, but we can transform these difficulties into peaceful and happy states or mind – how wonderful!

During these classes we will learn how to respond to difficulties with patience and compassion instead of fear and anxiety, transforming unpleasant feelings into a peaceful, happy mind. We can learn to change our negative view of adversity into positive states of mind whenever we face hardships and difficulties; leaving us relaxed and better able to deal with our problems.

These classes are suitable for everyone, and no previous experience is needed. Each class is self-contained. Come along to as many as you like. Everyone is welcome.

Healthy Habits

We are often aware of our physical habits, our daily routines and so on, but how do the habits of our mind influence our experiences, our happiness, or whether we have had a good day or not?

A peaceful mind always brings inner peace and happiness regardless of external circumstances. By getting into the “habit” of cultivating inner peace, we can manage problems positively and find joy in everything.

On this short course of classes, we will learn about helpful mental habits to develop and how to let go of those unhelpful ones. This process will transform our negative habits into effective positive ones through understanding and simple meditations that anyone can use.

These classes are suitable for everyone, and no previous experience is needed. Each class is self-contained. Come along to as many as you like. Everyone is welcome.

Taking Control of Your Life

Thursday 9:30am-10:45am

November 13, 20, 27

Taking Control of Your Life

We all want to be happy and free from problems and we all put energy into achieving this. So, what if we could be certain that no matter what happens, we will be able to navigate life’s ups and downs with a calm, positive and happy mind? We can even enjoy the good things in life with joy and let them go without sadness when things might end.

Whilst we cannot avoid problems and difficulties, we can take control of our life in a manner which is beneficial to us and others no matter what negativities we may experience. We can replace the thoughts and feelings which can leave us feeling like a ballon being blown around by the winds of life’s misfortunes with positive states of mind which steer us on an even keel through life.

Taking control of your life means managing our mind rather than struggling to avoid the inevitable difficulties we will face “out there”. In this way, we can tackle what is happening here and now, whilst also creating the causes of future happiness and well-being. We can all learn, understand and use proven methods to manage our life better, and secure the happiness we wish for. We can be in control!

These classes are suitable for everyone, and no previous experience is needed. Each class is self-contained. Come along to as many as you like. Everyone is welcome.

Introduction to Tantra

Thursday 9:30am-10:45am

Introduction to Tantra

We’ve all heard of Tantra but do we know what it is and how to actually practice it?

Tantra is the quick path to enlightenment. It is the rarest of instructions and so we have a wonderful opportunity now to get to understand it.

Tantra involves harnessing the power of our mind and using our imagination to connect with our pure potential. By imagining the result and relating to this we create the causes to experience it in our everyday reality much more quickly. By imagining ourselves as more loving, more compassionate and wiser we can break out of the prison of the usual mundane ideas, and awaken our vast potential for pure happiness.

These introductory classes will explain what Tantra is (and what it is not), and explore how we can access the pure, inner potential we all have, to develop and train our mind towards the ultimate happiness and freedom of enlightenment.

These classes are suitable for everyone, and no previous experience is needed. Each class is self-contained. Come along to as many as you like. Everyone is welcome.
